Hola, Ivonne! The cake is very light and fluffy, and it wasn't too sweet, surprisingly! :) I got this in a little bakery in Boston's Chinatown.

Hello, Jessica! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a note. This post of mine is more about communication than it is about hair. I guess what I'm trying to say is that for any kind of transaction, it's best if you're able to articulate as clearly as possible what it is you want or need, your personal preferences, and your past history or experiences. That information will help whoever is working with you to give you results you're happy with and that suit you in particular. This post is about not being reluctant to offer information in order to get the best results, and also being open to the advice from someone with experience.

Talk to your stylist and bring photos of possible styles. I love to experiment with different styles and lengths, especially since hair grows out quickly. It's not much of a risk at all to try out something new, since it always grows back. Long layered cuts have worked for me, although I usually tell stylists about any possible problems with these cuts ahead of time. But now I know to strictly forbid stylists from razoring in order to thin drastically!

Good luck!

Hey I know what you mean! Ugh, ever since I was little up until 5th grade my hair had been long (down to my tushie), shiney, soft, straight, thin like most beautiful asian hair, and absolutley gorgeous. But in te 5th grade I thought that I had needed a new start in life and decided to cut my hair up to my chest. But when I had got it cut, trust me it wasn't what I expecting at all! I mean I liked the length of it but the thickness of the hair was my issue. Also, the softness, the thiness, the gorgeousness and my complete image of me being happy with the way I was not having to think twice what I needed to do with my hair in the morning. I regret doing it but it's just part of life that I had to deal with. But the worst mistake I could do at that point was getting blonde highlights in the 6th grade. That had just made my hair completley damaged, no kidding! Everything I loved about my hair was gone... the shineyness was barely there anymore nothing was what it used to be. Now instead of taking 2 minutes to brush my hair out and go to school it takes me like 20 minutes, 15 minutes at the least to get my hair done. These days instead of wearing my hair which ever way I wanted to, filled with options I now hair a selection of: pony tail, half up half down only if I straighten it or make it wavy with braids, or braids. That's it. People say that I should get layers or thin my hair but others say that if I get layers or thin it it will only make it poofier. But when I tell my mom that I want to get that done to my hair she says that it will only make my hair thicker so I'm on a cross road I don;t know who I should listen to. I mean I would do it cause I dont really hair what happens to my hair anymore I just want to be certain that my hair will be able to be like it used to be. Also since its been a while since I got highlights my hair hasnt grown that fast since I got them but my hair used to grow really fast when I had my old hair. But right not my highlights have grown out to atleast my ears. I would get it cut to get everything with the high lights off but I'm deffinitally not willing to go that short haha. But I got some side bangs and I got them shorter than to the point where my hair had grown out so it was all new hair and it was just like my old hair! So that gives me some self confidence back. So do you think that once my hair grows out to a resonable length to cut off all the parts with the highlights in it would be worth it or just riskinging it all for nothing? I just need your opinion since you have somewhat person experience. But do you think that getting layers or thining it would make it thicker? And also when my hair is wet it is all thin but when it dries it goes back to it's horrible self. Sorry it's long I just needed to say it I really hope you reply to this but if you don't I understand.

Hi, Jen! Except perhaps for the sprinkles and the frosting figures, these cakes aren't too sweet. Chinatown cakes are pretty good about keeping sweetness in check. They cost $1.95 -- not bad for a sweet that makes you smile! ;)

Thanks, Jen. I know people poke fun at people who take a ton of photos (especially those that share my ancestry!), but I share the same impulse to be able save and savor a fleeting moment. I think you understand since you've got such great shots from all over the planet!
