Take a look at the image (from boingboing) at the far right of this spectrum of faces:

Spectrum of facial features that generate trust
Doesn’t the image on the far right look remarkably similar to this guy?:

The image above, identified as illustrating the “most trustworthy” features in this spectrum, looks exactly like Alán when he wakes up in the mornings, when he’s enjoying a good joke, or when he’s chatting happily with friends and family — or, when he’s playing a puckish prank on me.
Of course, when he’s serious and focused intently on science, Alán tends to look more like the “Neutral” image. And as one who knows Alán as well as a wife can know her husband, and as friends and colleagues can attest, I’d say the assessment of trustworthiness, based on his facial features and his actions, is accurate, in this case: Alán is trustworthy. He’s probably one of the most upfront people I’ve ever known — so much so that we sometimes have to tell him, “Too much information, Alán!”
LOL :O
Ha, this is neat! Alan should really contact them as a test case for their studies — “sir, we were not actively seeking live subjects, but after jut meeting you, we felt certain that you could help our study, oh and would you mind looking after my house when I am on the road next month?”
Hi, Jake! The resemblance is even more pronounced in photos of Alan without his glasses, but I had a hard time finding one that I didn’t need to scan. My family thinks this is hilarious because it’s such a splitting image of him.
That’s so funny. Now I see how he get away with everything jejeje
